Let us help you

What a difference the right container package can make. It’s the face of the brand, a guarantor of product safety, and a major part of the user experience. And when the right packaging plan helps makers bring their product ideas to market on schedule and on budget, it becomes a key to business success.

Turning our customers’ great product ideas into a successful reality is what Takemoto Packaging is all about. We offer our customers a unique and comprehensive packaging solution that works at every stage of the process to create the right container package for today’s challenging environment.

We are the packaging. You are the product. Together the possibilities are endless.

In our more than 65 years of operation, Takemoto Packaging has grown to become one of Japan’s leading container packaging producers and the top provider of standard packaging. Throughout our history we have been committed to mastering our craft, constantly improving our skills. We challenge ourselves always to find innovative and original ways to do things. And we keep our customer’s needs and our social responsibilities in clear view.

What really sets us apart is our mold-development capability. By our reckoning, Takemoto Packaging owns more molds than any other company in the world and we add hundreds of new molds each year – many of them designed and manufactured in-house. This allows us to offer exceptional consistency of design and quality. Our container line-up is a carefully conceived system of designs that work in perfect harmony with our range of compatible caps and accessories.

In today’s crowded market we help our customers create standout container packaging that is functional, safe and irresistibly attractive.

Outlook for
the Future

The more new ways we find to help our customers bring their product ideas to life, the more we’ll all grow together. In the coming years we will focus on several areas of development.

Global growth: We’re on our way to becoming a truly global provider. We will continue to build our international markets and broaden our production base as we introduce our Japanese standards of quality and technology to the world.

New products and services: We will never stop developing new ideas for products

and how to manufacture them. Our goal is to create new value for our customers with innovations that make packaging more functional and more attractive. And we will maintain our leadership in molds by bringing more of our mold design and fabrication in-house.

A shorter container development process: As the world continues to move faster, so will we. We’re always finding new ways to reduce the time it takes to design, produce and deliver superior-quality packaging to our customers.

The ideal package begins with a basic container shape. We offer customers two ways to create the right container for their needs.

Standard packaging

Standard packaging is based on a simple idea: give customers the advantages of an individualized packaging solution without creating new packaging from scratch with a costly custom-produced mold. For the most basic requirements, we stock containers for immediate delivery. But the reality is that our customers’ needs are so diverse that it is impractical to maintain stocks for every possibility. So we produce standard containers on demand. This solution provides a high-quality package while minimizing manufacturing costs and lead times. Our hundreds of base container designs can each be matched with an extensive range of caps, nozzles, sprays and accessories. These include advanced functional and security features such as child-proof caps, specialized dispensing systems and product-preservation properties. Our container line-up is a carefully conceived system of designs in which container bodies work in perfect harmony with compatible caps and accessories

Bespoke packaging(Custom-made packaging)

Customers who require a highly specific shape, design or function can work with us to create made-to-order containers starting from product design and custom mold fabrication. To control costs, custom containers can be combined with existing caps or accessories. In addition, our library of existing preforms for ISBM bottles makes it possible to create unique custom designs with only the development of a blow mold required.

The container experts

A great deal of expertise underlies all of our container-development solutions, including top-level manufacturing capabilities in blow molding, injection molding, injection stretch blow molding, tube extrusion, aluminum molding, pump manufacture and more. What really sets us apart is our mold-development capability. By our reckoning, Takemoto Packaging owns over 3,000 molds – more than any other company in the world, and we add hundreds of new molds each year. This allows us to offer exceptional consistency of design and quality. Our container line-up is a carefully conceived system of designs that work in perfect harmony with our range of compatible caps and accessories.

The ideal package begins with a basic container shape.

The pursuit of perfection

Our commitment is to deliver products of the highest quality to our customers. We work to the highest specifications with thorough process controls at every stage, from raw material acquisition to delivery of final products. All products are introduced only after undergoing a rigorous regime of functional testing to ensure that they meet standards for durability, strength and performance in extremes of temperature and pressure. Our raw materials and final products meet all the standards demanded by our customers.

Leading Through Innovation

If there’s something new happening in container design, mold development, materials science, manufacturing technology or logistics, chances are we’re right there at the leading edge. Our continuous research and development in barrier properties, product safety and functional design is providing new value for our customers and a better experience for end users.

Our Responsibility

We are working hard to build a sustainable business that minimizes the impact that we and our customers have on the environment. We put special emphasis on the “3 Rs” of sustainable practice: Reduce, Re-use, Recycle. Under this principle, we have focused on development of recycled PET from drink bottles, biomass plastics from plant sources such as sugarcane, and reliable containers and product refills that reduce waste and pollution. We are also developing containers that produce lower carbon-dioxide emissions when incinerated.

How We Work

We make a simple promise to our customers in the cosmetics, personal care, healthcare and food products industries: we will provide the container packaging that contributes to making your product vision a successful reality. To fulfill that promise, we provide a uniquely flexible and efficient way to create packaging that is highly individualized in design, superior in functionality and of exceptional quality and reliability.

Our standard packaging solution supports customers at every stage of the process of bringing a product to market. The process has four key stages:

1. The Right Concept and Plan

The consulting and planning process is where we learn about the customer’s product idea and advise on the best way to develop a successful package. In this business there’s no substitute for experience, and after more than 65 years we have plenty. If you have a problem, chances are we have a solution.

2. The Right Container

We work with customers to select a base container design that is beautiful and eye-catching while matching product characteristics and the end user’s functional requirements. Our leadership in manufacturing processes and mold development makes it possible to meet almost any packaging need, whether sourcing a standard container or creating a new package design. This is container packaging raised to a new level.

3. The Right Customization

Start with a basic standard bottle shape and end up with a customized container suited to your specialized requirements. Our huge selection of caps, dispensers and accessories along with our vast range of coloring, printing and labeling processes make the package design possibilities practically endless. Every customer’s brand is unique. We make sure your package is, too.

4. The Right Time and Quantity

A great package is no guarantee of success if it doesn’t make business sense. A winning product has to go to market on time, on budget and in the quantity that fits the business plan. With that in mind, we’ve developed manufacturing and delivery systems that are extraordinarily fast, flexible, efficient and customer-focused. Getting the business of packaging right is where the Takemoto solution really shines.
